Please Dress Me, Zoe Karssen!

(Dora) I was awake all night and wanted to find something knew! I now present to you, Zoe Karssen (please hold your applause and check out the webshop).
Hailing form Amsterdam, the designs are funky yet practical. They should definitely be worn on days when you think that people should read how you feel. Let your clothes do the talking effortlessly! And these clothes are just so cool. They have a certain je ne sais quoi which reminds me of the Ashish for Topshop collections, but better.
Anywho, I want them ALL, especially the ''Young'' t-shirt in white. I'm turning the big 2 0 next year and because of society I need to be remined that I'm actually not old!

So please Zoe Karssen, will you dress me?

(Dora) I was reading a back issue of Nylon magazine (merci Leya) when I came across this little gem. Her name: Jamie McCarty. Her mission: to dress us all.
Fresh out of Parsons the New School for Design she hasn’t made it, yet. But I hope she will. Her creations are from a different dimension.
I love her designs. They’re so new and fresh. So outrageous they have to be contagious – cheesy but true.

My favorite piece has to be the yellow dress,
So please Jamie MaCarty, dress me?

Ohh Philip!

During an official meeting with a foundation to protect turtle doves in Anguilla in 1965, Prince Philip said: “Cats kill far more birds than men. Why don’t you have a slogan: ‘Kill a cat and save a bird?’”

Urban Ears

Headphones in Navy

(Dora) I’ve had my Urbanears for about 2 years now (yes before they were popular). Honestly they were the best headphone I had ever had. Impeccable sound and a great look. But all good things come to an end. Two weeks ago they started freaking out whenever I hooked them up to my blackberry. I couldn’t hear a thing. My headphones were keeping me from my Gaga!!
So I bought some cheapo replacements to keep me going. My Urbanears were temporarily shelved until today. But when I took them they wouldn't work! I tried everything...
So now, I’m on the hunt for a new pair! I just don’t know which colour to choose, HELP!

Be Mine!

(Dora) I spotted these shoes in Dune when we were emptying out my uni flat. It was love at first glance. I ran into the shop like a manic, I just had to try them on. They fit like a dream, look like a dream but are real! I'm piling up way too many suede shoes, but oh well.
I think I'd swap the laces for a deep red during the winter...

(Dora) Today we were out and about in Geneva checking out the sales. After a quick lunch – my ceasar salad was delicious – we browsed a couple of shops. But alas, nothing was bought.
The weather was lovely. Leya ended the day with a gelato – pics to come, any excuse for gelatos.
My outfit was casual and comfortable. But I have to admit, wearing a playsuit when you know you’re going to try on clothes is a mistake! My green flats are what I like to call posh willies. They’re made out of plastic! They were on my ‘Be Mine’ list for years until I found them in Dubai.

(Leya) My lunch was a focaccia, which I thought was a pizza but turns out it’s just a fancy rip off. Anyway, after attempting to finish the thing (I gave up after two pieces), we tried to figure out what to do with the leftovers. I thought about giving it to the girls sat next to us but Dora said that would be weird. We tried to find a homeless person to give it to (THERE ARE NONE).So I ended up leaving it in front of an apartment building.
I was wearing shorts and a top which I had bought on my last shopping trip (sales). But the shorts were a bit big so I have to use safety pins. It’s worth it since I’ve been looking for a pair with that design for quite some time.
TMI: I had the biggest wedgie ever!
